I started crocheting when I was about 15 or 16. Possibly the same time when I started scrapbooking...but I preferred scrapbooking more until now. Working at Cox I couldn't really spread out ALL my necessities for scrapbooking to work on pages and so forth, so I started back on crochet. I was able to sit at my desk with my yarn and just crochet to my heart's content. I started doing flowers because I would be able to incorporate flowers to my scrapbook pages. And now I'm working on a shrug and headwarmers for some friends. But then I found amigurumi. Japanese crocheted dolls :) I found this pattern at jennyandteddy and since she had a picture by picture play, I figured why not try it. And I finished it. I need to work on the joining of the legs and body and assembling the pieces, but all in all, I am proud of my finished piece. Not bad for a newbie amigurumi :)
